We were very happy to welcome back runners to the Three Shires Inn for the valley’s annual fell race this month.
Covid forced the cancellation of fell races across the Lake District last year, but on September 18 entrants again set off on a 20km loop of the fells overlooking the inn.
The route, which entails 1200m of ascent, heads over Wetherlam and Swirl How, before heading down to Wrynose Pass and over Pike of Blisco and Lingmoor then finishing back at the Three Shires Inn.
Well done to everyone who took part. It was great to see so many of you in the bar afterwards for a well deserved beer!
