Nature has unquestionably done a spectacular job of creating the most stunningly beautiful and tranquil setting in which to enjoy a restful holiday, and at the Three Shires Inn we’ve spared no effort in making our guest accommodation just as gorgeous and welcoming as the landscape framed in each of the bedroom windows.
Within the Inn itself we have ten rooms altogether, offering both twin and double bedded options. Without exception, the bedrooms are immaculately decorated and presented with soothing shades of creams, pastel greens and oatmeal, contrasting with bold feature wallpapered walls and coordinated soft furnishings and linen. The carpets are deep and comforting underfoot, lighting is soothing, and the beds and furniture all add to the reassuring feel of quality.
Every bedroom, of course, has its own en-suite bathroom; and we take meticulous care to ensure the bathrooms are spotlessly clean and sparkling down to the tiniest detail. And in keeping with this level of quality, you’ll also find our range of complimentary toiletries, teas, coffees and snacks irresistible.
A superior touch
While the standard and ambience of every room is consistent, our Superior rooms are a little more generously proportioned and so particularly suitable for a longer stay, and our fabulous new suite epitomises luxury in every respect. Our designers have achieved something very special with this suite, combining a calming colour scheme of mauves and olive greens with beautiful hardwood country furniture and a fine iron bedstead to create a dreamy setting in which to relax and soak up the calming moods of our delightful Lakeland setting, either in the bedroom itself or lazing in the separate lounge, which also has the benefit of an additional sofa bed.
The suite’s bathroom delivers true wow factor with its heated floor, invigorating power shower, the elegant curves of the freestanding roll top bath, and the timeless elegance of the neutral colours, the understated tiling, and the beautiful oak floor.
The bedrooms themselves are complemented by the private guests lounge where comfy furniture and our collection of local history volumes, guides, and maps make for a lovely setting in which to sit by the fire planning the next days’ excursions before repairing to the bar and dining room for refreshment.
What they say
Needless to say we’re very proud of our accommodation, but of course the opinions which count the most are those of our guests. A brief scan of TripAdvisor, for instance, sees our rooms described as “a lovely room with a beautiful view”, “really cosy and comfortable”, “we had a room facing the road and all we heard was baby lambs”, “exceptionally clean, comfortable bed, ample wardrobe space, pretty decor and a fabulous shower in the bathroom.“
So do come and visit us for a well-earned break, and we’re confident you’ll be just as delighted with our bedrooms as these people all were.
