As freedom from lockdown seems to get closer each day, we can all be forgiven for allowing ourselves to indulge in a little bit of post-lockdown fantasising. Whether it is a pub crawl, a meal out with friends or simply being able to spend time together with loved ones, we all have something we can’t wait to do.
After a long, Covid-19 enforced hibernation at the Three Shires Inn, these dreams are beginning to get so close we can almost taste them and, if the country unlocks as planned, that is exactly what you will be able to do very soon.
From April 12 our verandah and garden will be open again from 11am to 7:30 pm, serving our usual range of beers and a new menu put together by our chef Scott Hirst. So, if you’re passing, a walker getting back into the fells, or you’re just excited about eating out again, we’ll be here to help keep you refreshed.
On May 17 we plan to reopen for overnight guests and food indoors and bring our staffing levels back up to their full complement. We have been making good use of lockdown to renovate our rooms Swirl How and Crinkle Crags, at the same time as redecorating the lounge and putting in a new stove. We also plan to have our first dog-friendly suite Busk Pike ready for guests by May.
We’re sure we speak for every other hotel, B&B and campsite when we say we cannot wait to see people back in the Lake District, exploring all the wonderful places on the doorstep in Little Langdale and bringing the sounds of laughter and conversation back to the Three Shires Inn. This is our post-lockdown fantasy and we can’t wait to make you part of it!
