Lockdown as an Opportunity
We have tried to treat lockdown like an opportunity rather than a crisis. One of the few advantages of not having any people at the inn is that it has given us a lot of extra time to crack on with tasks guests might find a bit annoying!
So, along with almost everyone else in the country it seems, we have been taking advantage of the extra time and good weather to do some DIY. Tony has been busily painting inside and out, while James has been hard at work renovating our verandah by replacing a lot of the old woodwork. He has even been carving some of it himself - it’s amazing what new skills you can learn in lockdown!
And, of course, it’s difficult to imagine anywhere better than Little Langdale to make the most of your daily lockdown exercise. We have been getting to know the local hills, paths and becks in detail and are planning to produce a special Three Shires map featuring some of our favourite walks from the door.
Preparing to Reopen
Like all hospitality businesses we are having to think carefully about how we reopen, but at the moment we are preparing to re-open at the start of July and are now accepting bookings from 4 July. If of course, you cannot come as a result of government guidelines relating to Covid-19, we will gladly move the booking to another date or offer a refund.
Our beer garden will provide plenty of outside space and offer a perfect opportunity to quench the thirst of passing walkers and perhaps even serve a few snacks.
Whatever happens, we look forward to welcoming you back soon to enjoy everything the Three Shires, Little Langdale and the Lakes have to offer.
