A short drive along the road from the Three Shires Inn is the popular Blea Tarn with stunning views of the Langdale Fells.
Managed by the National Trust this route offers a well laid compacted stone path making this walk accessible for all abilities. It's not a circular route, but a walk with gentle gradients that can be completed in around an hour.
If you're an early riser, you'll often find Blea Tarn is busy with photographers first thing, as they try to capture the morning light as it rises above the Langdale Valley.
