Location - Getting to Three Shires Inn

Travelling by road from the north

From the north: From Keswick or Penrith via the A66 follow signs towards Windermere on A591. On reaching Ambleside follow the directions below.

Travelling from the south take exit 36 on the M6, and on to Ambleside via A590/A591.

From Ambleside take the A593 towards Langdale / Coniston.. Travel for approximately 3 miles to Skelwith Bridge. Do not take the first right turn which is signed to Langdale, but carry on over the Skelwith bridge towards Coniston and take the next right in about ¾ mile. This will be signed The Langdales, Wrynose Pass and Elterwater . Drop down a tight bend and follow the road to the next junction. Turn left (signed Little Langdale) and follow the road for one mile to the Three Shires Inn.

Travelling by train: Arrive at Oxenholme/Windermere stations, where we can arrange for a taxi to meet you.
