The Three Shires Inn offers a local produce based menu serving lunches, light bites and dinners throughout the year. The inn also has nine individually decorated bedrooms which include two deluxe suites, perfect for an escape to the Lake District. Whether you are looking for a quiet coffee along your walk or a traditional pub lunch or dinner our inn will always provide you with a relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere and quality dining experience guaranteed.
We cater for a variety of diets. Assistance dogs are welcome and water bowls can be provided.

Travel by public transport
- Our rural location within Little Langdale means that public transportation is limited
- The nearest bus is in the village of Elterwater. The bus stop is 1.5 miles / 0.2 km from The Three Shires Inn .
- The nearest train station is Windermere and from here we advise booking a taxi direct to the hotel for ease.
- You can get a taxi with Amber Taxis by calling 015394 42000.
Parking
- There is gravel car park at the hotel. There are no specific accessible parking spaces. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.
- There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has no kerb but the drop off point is on a slight incline.
- From the car park to the bar entrance, there is level access.
- From the car park into the reception area and lounge there are two small steps, these do not have contrast markings.

- The flooring in the bar is smooth slate and in the restaurant is wooden flooring, moving into the lounge area is carpet.
- Some parts of the venue have low lighting.

- From the main entrance to this area, there is level access.
Bedrooms
- All the hotel bedrooms are located on the first floor of the hotel up one flight of steep, curved stairs. The stairs have a hand rail up part of the way. There is no lift in the hotel.

- Emergency lighting is located along the corridors and in the bedrooms, and an emergency torch is provided for each bedroom.
